Is it just me, or is the world getting crazier on a daily basis? I can barely keep up with the insanity happening on a global scale. There has never been a time in my life when I could check the news four times daily and find breaking stories on an international level; wars, rumors of wars, etc.
What do you think about what is happening in the Middle East, Russia, China, Iran and North Korea? Where do you think all of this is headed?

So I agree that the world has gone crazy, but what do we say to someone that says based on Revelations, the end time scenario is even crazier? What about those that claim Christ and are looking for end-time conspiracies under every rock? Aren’t we making the world even more nuts?
ReplyDeleteI've read the interesting blog and I can see why the man thinks it's crazy to actually desire to see these times come, but the return of Christ is called "The Blessed Hope". We don't rejoice in the sufferings of mankind, but we long for Christ's rule and reign on earth.
ReplyDeleteThe Lord's Prayer is prayed by millions every day. We pray "thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven". He will answer that prayer fully one day when He returns physically and establishes His kingdom on earth, as it is in heaven.
But I also believe that we (many in Western Christianity) have chosen a soft and fuzzy Jesus. We prefer to see Him as mushy-gushy lover and not as a judge. Go and read Isaiah 63 and then tell me if you're feeling all soft and fuzzy.
I love justice. In fact my name on twitter is LoverOfJustice. Justice will not be met until the return of Jesus, when He will rule with a rod of iron.

ReplyDeleteOur President just bowed to Saudi King Abdullah- this single greatest financier of terrorism. Obama is giving respect and appeal to those who call America 'The Great Satan'- for him to bow was a surrender to the Iranian regime. It was undeserved, disgraceful respect. And it wasn't just his actions.. Obama also said in Turkey: "We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over so many centuries to shape the world for the better..."
North Korea which is manufacturing nuclear weapons is also selling technology to militant nations of the Islamic world...
The clock is ticking & the praying church is the answer.
The longer I see what is going on in this world, the tighter I hold on to Jesus. As western christians we have been feed a "fire escape" religion. The more I read The Bible the more I'm convinced that it will get worse. But we have the promise that Jesus will never leave us or forsake us. Marantha
